Dangerous Games

Everyday’s but just a game. Just play along.

The Game

Some people are just that anal. Wearing a jersey and having a competition up next. So? Means you’re damn good? Means you’re better than others? Means that the land space of the community club basketball court belongs to you so you could walk around with your nose high up in the air? Man, I’m not paiseh to say that this Jersey NO.15 of HONG KAH NORTH Snr TEAM is exactly like that. Relax dude. You dun have to be such an ass. Serious, you ain’t that good either. All you did was like score 4 points in the game huh?

Bah, just wanna say that this is communal living yeah? You’re not the only people living in the neighbourhood. Or else it won’t be called the community club. If you speak your mind in a more civilised way, people would understand. No need to do the “zuo muo? zuo muo? zuo muo?” thing. Sounds like an idiot. Or the “zhen yang? zhen yang? zhen yang?” thing. Grow up dude.

Anyway, the match that this guy was in wasn’t that exciting. I naturally sided the opposite team cos I felt really anal about the guy’s attitude all the way. I bet I could outplay him any time. Not all basketballers have to be GUAI LAN. Understand that. It’s the love of the game, not how much the game loves you. And the opposite team which is called KNIGHTS went on to win the game by 1 pt. Oh, the last part was really exciting though. Would be hard for me to describe and boring for you to read.

The next match between Seng Foo and Yew Tee CC team was the highlight of the evening. They play really fluid basketball. The technique of all the players are really good and I covet the day I could play like them. Looks like a lot of hard work on my part will be involved. I just have to believe I can do it and actually do something about it. Like my JC days. The amount of work I put into my basketball playing. Too bad all the improvements only really surfaced after the competition in Yr2. Missed my chance to be in the team. But let’s just say that some day they’ll regret not having had a guy like that be in the team.

Just for abit of inspiration, there’s this player in the NBA called Earl Boykins, No.11 in Denver Nuggets. He’s just 1.65m and he’s doing really well in alot of the games he plays. Check him out at the NBA site through the link. There are times when he gets 30points in his game. Remember, most of the other players are above 1.9m. He is 1.65m.

For the love of the game.
